Critics describe the artistic work of Gabriele Gylyte as "Cantability and transparency, apparently effortless virtuosity with endless energy reserves..."

She was granted numerous national awards of her home country as international prizes as from the "N. Rubinstein Competition" 1998, Paris (1. prize), the "Vituosi 2000 - Competition", Sankt Petersburg (winner), the Rome 1999 - Competition (2. prize), the "Citta di Marsala - Competition" 1999, Italy (winner), Vytautas Landsbergis Prize, the "Citta di Sulmona - Competition" 2006, Italy, S. Vainiunas, Lithuania (diploma), Piano Duo competition 2000, Lithuania (1. prize), Music without Limits 2006, Lithuania (1. prize). As a soloist she performed piano concerts from J. Haydn, S. Vainiunas, S. Rachmaninov (Rhapsody on an Theme of Paganini, No. 2) with the St. Petersburg and Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Wetzlar Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra and the chamber orchestra of the Lithunanian Music Academy (conductors: P. Egorov, R. Šervenikas, O. Blüthgen, B. Lingner).

The Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus awarded her the medal of honour for her musical merits.

Gabriele Gylyte participated within the "Pazaislis-Festival", the "Sugrizimai-Piano-Festival" in Lithuania," Mannheim and Falkenstein" in Germany, the "Meranofestival" in Italy, the "Burgos-Festival" in Spain and "Summit Music Festival" in New York. She participated in various master classes given from P. Eicher, Chr. Elton, J. Lill, L. Berman, P. Egorov, B. Morrison and A. Vardi. Music masterpieces including concerts, solo and chamber music compositions of the famous West European and Russian classics comprise the repertoire of the pianist. She extends her musical skills with a Trio (clarinet Roman Kuperschmidt and cello Christopher Hermann), the Amici Quartett. She also performed with the bass singer Young Myoung Kwon. This autumn the pianists appearance, together with the Academia Quartett in Vilnius, received very positive mentioning. The four Mozart piano concertos (K413, K414, K415, K449) with Quartett instrumentation were shown the first time in Lithuania.

Gabriele Gylyte was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Having finished the National M. K. Ciurlionis National Gymnasium of Arts, she has entered the Lithuanian Music Academy. She graduated from the class of Prof. Petras Geniusas and earned a Bachelor's degree. G. Gylyte received scholarships from several Lithuanian foundations and the Ministery of Culture.

Gabriele Gylyte developed a particular affinity for chamber music, lied accompaniment and teaching skills.

Since 2003 she studied at the University for Music and Applied Arts, Frankfurt, Germany, at the class of the renown Prof. Lev Natochenny and finished in 2009 with a Masters degree. Gabriele Gylyte is now extending her musical background in chamber music at the University for Music and Applied Arts, Mannheim with the help of Prof. Paul Dan.

Compositions performed by G. Gylyte have been broadcasted many times through the Lithuanian National Radio and TV. A pianist’s CD having been produced at the end 2007 has attained benevolent appreciation of music critics. Compositions of J.S. Bach, J. Haydn, R. Schumann and S. Prokofjev are recorded in this CD.
